Effective Discourse Partnerships Intern

Partnership interns will work to assist the Director of Partnerships with day-to-day operations within the Effective Discourse Partnership team. The Effective Discourse Partnership team is responsible for recruiting relevant guest speakers for fellowship sessions, finding funding opportunities for the department, and working closely with the rest of Effective Discourse leadership to ensure a cohesive fellowship curriculum. ‍Experience with non-profit funding is ideal, particularly in the form of grants, as is any form of networking experience. The work-load is moderate with an estimated weekly contribution of 2-5 hours, though more work may be required at the start of each fellowship cycle. We are in search of students with incredible work-ethic and the ability to be a team-player, as they will be working closely with the Director and the rest of Effective Discourse leadership throughout their time at YIP.

Effective Discourse Partnership Interns are expected of the following:

• Finding possible grants and funding opportunities for the Effective Discourse Department.
• Contacting 3-4 potential guest speakers a week during planning periods.
• Effective communication skills.
• Capable of handling Google Workspace applications.
• Teamwork and Conflict Resolution skills.
