Grant writers are the individuals who are mainly responsible for researching and proposing grant opportunities that align with YIP's mission so the Institute can remain operational without concern for finance!

Volunteer Experience Intern

Volunteer Experience Interns will conduct regular check-ins and meetings with volunteers at YIP and support new employees in the onboarding process.

Military Policy Analyst

Conduct research and contribute to policy briefs on areas like military budgeting, strategy, developments in conflicts in which the military is engaged, and developments in manufacturing and equipment. This is a new team, so you have a chance to help shape it!

Public Health Policy Analyst

Conduct research and contribute to policy briefs on new policy proposals that are either focused on or could contribute to the public health of the American populace. Potential topics include FDA regulations, food policy, the obesity crisis, etc.

Criminal Justice Policy Analyst

Conduct research and contribute to policy briefs on domestic policy changes to criminal prosecution including prison regulations, changes to policing practices, large-scale crimes, etc.

Agriculture Policy Intern

Over 50% of land in the United States is farmland, but this policy area rarely gets the attention it deserves! Conduct research and contribute to policy briefs on changes to domestic policy affecting agricultural production such as tariffs, food and fertilization regulations, supply chain issues and policy-related mitigation tactics, etc. This is a new team, so you have a chance to help shape it!

Energy Policy Analyst

Conduct research and contribute to policy briefs on energy policy, including renewable energy adoption, energy efficiency standards, fossil fuel regulations, and grid modernization. This team will also analyze energy deals and trade relationships with foreign nations. This is a new team, so you have a chance to help shape it!

Head of Initiatives

Oversee and improve the Policy Media department’s virtual engagement with youth through the development of competitions and civic initiatives that allow individuals outside our organization to take an active role and get involved in the policy research and civic processes. This is a leadership role that entails managing a diverse group of teams totaling up to 30 people and potentially more in the future.

Website Development Intern

Website Development Interns will be responsible for creating and maintaining various sub-pages highlighting the Education Department’s initiatives.

Alumni Relations Intern

Support the alumni relations team through outreach and help plan events and workshops for and about YIP alumni!

Publishing Intern

Interns will edit and format content designed to be published across various platforms and mediums
