Amaya Windham

Amaya Windham is a Political Science major and Legal Studies minor at the University of Southern California. She currently serves as a Policy Fellow for the Institute for Youth in Policy, where she develops equity-driven legislative proposals, and as Social Media Director for AfricActive, leading digital strategy to highlight African and diasporic cultural initiatives.

Amaya is also the Director of Academic Development for the USC Black Pre-Law Association, advancing mentorship and academic success initiatives for pre-law students. Previously, she completed legal internships in Santiago, Chile, and Cape Town, South Africa, focusing on comparative policy and access to justice. Her interests include criminal justice reform, education equity, and international law, with a focus on building restorative and community-based policy solutions.
