Arjun Patil is a student at the University of Texas at Austin with a major in business and a minor in government. He is interested in the intersection of business, policy, and law.

Arjun Patil is a second-year student at The University of Texas at Austin in the McCombs School of Business, majoring in Management Information Systems, with a minor in Government. During his time at UT he has been named a J.J Pickle Research Fellow, a part of the Jefferson Scholars Program, and a Bowden Fellow. On campus, he is involved with Texas Consulting, Delta Sigma Pi, and Longhorn Legal Coalition. Outside the classroom, he loves to ski, play tennis, and bake.

This op-ed examines the systemic misuse of nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) and their role in suppressing accounts of sexual misconduct, discrimination, and harassment. It argues that while current legislation like the Speak Out Act provides some protection, significant legal loopholes remain that allow corporations to coerce traumatized individuals into perpetual silence. Ultimately, the piece advocates for a total ban on NDAs in cases of misconduct to dismantle existing power imbalances and ensure victims can seek accountability.
