Arrington Short

Arrington Short is a student at Staunton River High School. He joined the YIP Fellowship Program in 2025 as a Youth in Policy Fellow where he has navigated critical analysis of geopolitics and international critical mineral supply chains. In addition to his work with the YIP Fellowship, Arrington is a judicial clerk in the 24th Judicial District of Virginia and 9th District Chair of the Virginia High School Republicans, positions that allow him to deeply interact with and shape public policy and discourse. He has a deep passion for national security, fiscal policy, education policy, and constitutionalism, and plans to use future opportunities to continue pursuing these avenues of research and leadership.
