Asher Cohen

Asher Cohen is a student at Columbia University studying Financial Economics and minoring in History. He has experience in the intersections of public policy, development, finance, historical studies, civic engagement, and non-profit management. At YIP, Asher serves as the Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the strategy, long-term vision, and day-to-day management of the organization.

Outside of YIP, Asher has interned for Kent Street, a private equity firm in the industrials and infrastructure sector, and is an Incoming 2026 Private Equity Summer Intern (Primaries) at Future Standard. He has founded a civic education organization, conducted research with a Harvard fellow, and worked for local politicians. At Columbia, Asher is a member of three finance clubs (Global Equity Management, TAMID Group, and LendingCore Partners), a committee member on the Columbia Economic Review, and a tour guide for the Admissions Office.
