Asher Cohen is an incoming student at Columbia University. He has experience in the intersections of public policy, development, finance, historical studies, civic engagement, and non-profit management. At YIP, Asher serves as the Chief of Staff and Interim Chief People Officer, overseeing development, staffing, day-to-day operations, human resources, and fellowship programs. Asher also leads administrative and operational efforts across departments. Asher founded Voters2Be, a civic education organization that teaches students in under-resourced communities about democracy, politics, and the importance of voting. Additionally, he has conducted research with a Harvard fellow and interned for a private equity firm and for local politicians.
