Asher Cohen is a student at Columbia University studying Financial Economics and minoring in History and Religion. He has experience in the intersections of public policy, finance, development, civic engagement, and non-profit management. Asher is driven by a passion for building, developing, and executing new systems and frameworks. At YIP, Asher serves as the Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the strategy, long-term vision, and day-to-day management of the organization. Outside of YIP, Asher has worked for Kent Street, a private equity firm in the industrials sector, served as a Private Equity Summer Intern for Future Standard's Primaries team, founded a civic education organization, conducted research with a Harvard fellow, and worked for local politicians. At Columbia, Asher is on the Executive Board of three finance clubs, Global Equity Management, the TAMID Group, and LendingCore Partners. He is also the Chief of Programming for the Columbia Economic Review, a tour guide, and a member of the campus Chabad.
