Brinkley Bennett is a student leader and policy advocate. She has passed state-level legislation, attended national debate conferences, and serves on various youth advisory boards. She aspires to be in a career in international law and defense.

Brinkley Bennett is a high school student and policy advocate committed to advancing safety, civic engagement, and youth empowerment. Her impact is reflected in the passage of Louisiana Act 481, the Freedom Framework Diploma Endorsement, and SCR 40, under which she will serve on a state task force for school safety. She has earned distinctions as a CDC Fall ’25 Intern, American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation ’25 Senator, The Heritage Foundation Lloyd & Bea Smith ‘25 Fellow, and Institute for Youth in Policy Winter ’24 Fellow, where she authored the capstone “School Safety & Emergency Preparedness in Louisiana.” Brinkley has collaborated with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the LA Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness on various youth initiatives. Her extracurricular involvement includes Speech & Debate, YMCA Youth & Government, and campaign work. She plans to pursue a career in defense, public policy, and international relations to strengthen homeland security through domestic and global strategies.
