2024 Summer Fellow
Born and raised in New York City, Catrina is a senior at Brooklyn Technical High School and has an avid passion for civics, law, international relations, public policy, politics, and so much more. In addition to being a graduated fellow from the Youth in Policy fellowship (and a current intern in the Effective Discourse internship), she is a Senior Lead Fellow at the YVote Civic Fellowship, a graduated fellow from Civics Unplugged's Civic Innovators Fellowship, and one of the 20 nationally-selected Youth Civic Leaders at Citizen University's National Youth Collaboratory. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and hanging out with her friends.
Capstone Project
Gun violence in schools and educational settings is a prominent issue in American society, with over 4,000 students, as young as children and teenagers, shot and killed and more than 17,000 shot and seriously wounded every single year.
