Danyan Yang
Danyan Yang is a student at Conestoga High School. She has experience in the intersections of public policy and scientific research, specifically relating to environmental sustainability.
At the Institute for Youth in Policy, Danyan serves as Education Research Co-director. Outside of YIP, Danyan has conducted scientific research with Harvard's OpenBio Laboratory, MIT's Jameel Water & Food Systems Lab, several PhDs and postdocs at Harvard, Yale, MIT, and Peking University, and published her research in reputable journals. She has also served on local youth councils, while leading multiple environmental clubs and groups at school and in her community. Danyan is also Science Olympiad team captain, a Sunrise Movement volunteer leader, a Schoolhouse senior peer tutor, and a talented violinist with international-level awards.
