Copyright Complications Among AI Produced Content
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technology into fields such as film, design, and animation is reshaping creative industries. However, its reliance on large, human-created datasets has provided a legal basis for disputes over copyrighted content and intellectual property. Moreover, the ability of AI to replicate existing human-created content raises disputes under the Fair Use doctrine of U.S Copyright Law. This brief examines how the absence of regulatory standards for these constantly-changing models creates uncertainty for content creators and AI companies, and how clear policy frameworks can help address these issues.
