2026 Winter Fellow
Elizabeth Foster
Elizabeth Foster is a student leader for educational access, freedom of speech, and civic engagement and attends St. Ignatius College Preparatory. Elizabeth serves as a Student Advocate for Speech with the National Coalition Against Censorship, through which she has founded and led anti-censorship workshops in the Bay Area. Elizabeth is strongly interested in youth engagement, and has taught students in grades 1st through 8th as a literacy tutor and leader with the Youth Policy Initiative. She has also pursued her passion for public service and policy as a Democracy Summer Fellow for Rep. Jared Huffman and as a Fellow with the Institute for Youth in Policy, focusing on California education policy. Elizabeth is especially motivated to create cultural change through the power of literature and poetry.
