Emily Tarverdyan is a senior in high school from Los Angeles, CA on a pre-law track, passionate about public policy, civic leadership, and community-driven education. She is also the founder of city-wide youth leadership program in her community, with hands-on experience in governmental bodies at both legislative and legal levels. Capstone Project

This paper explores immigration policies and their impact on the mental health of migrants, thus highlighting the urgent need for culturally sensitive approaches in policy-making. The analysis is based on the broader effects of similar policies on migrant mental health, emphasizing the disparities that are a result of culturally insensitive frameworks.
