Ishita Jalan is a high school student at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California, with a passion for education policy. She has written a policy proposal focused on improving educational equity in the Bay Area, which was formally presented to her district, and she hopes to eventually make a meaningful impact in shaping policies.
