James McLaughlin

James is a student at Gilman School in Baltimore, Maryland, who is deeply interested in political studies and the legal field. As the Editor-in-Chief of the PIVOT Center, James promotes universal civic engagement and supports the development of talented analytical writers in journal and op-ed formats.

James is the Editor-in-Chief of the PIVOT Center at YIP, aiming to foster historical analysis skills among journal and op-ed writers. Outside of YIP, James is an intern for Baltimore Votes, promoting nonpartisan civic engagement among high school students via election judge service and voter pre-registration. In his future collegiate pursuits, James intends to study political science and attend law school.
