Kendall McGuire

Kendall McGuire is a student at Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach, California, where she is actively involved in academics, leadership, athletics, and community service. As a member of the schools tennis team, she has developed strong skills in teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.  A proud citizen of the Chickasaw Nation, Kendall is passionate about preserving Indigenous history, culture, and storytelling. This passion led her to create Roots and Resilience, a project dedicated to documenting and sharing Indigenous histories through interviews, her website/platform, and community engagement. Through this work, she seeks to preserve important cultural knowledge and ensure that future generations remain connected to their heritage.  Beyond her academic and athletic pursuits, Kendall is involved in a variety of leadership and volunteer initiatives focused on making a positive impact in her community. She is committed to using education, service, and advocacy to create meaningful change while amplifying the voices and stories of Indigenous communities.
