Lauren Kim

Lauren is currently a student at the University of Michigan. Though born and raised in California, she recently moved to Texas with her family. At the Institute for Youth in Policy, she serves as the Head of Impact Communications gathering monthly updates from each of the four departments and creating monthly e-newsletters with these updates. Passion is at the center of all that Lauren does - as an accomplished violinist, she hopes to use her formal music education to share beauty through music while contributing to positive classical music endeavors, such as exposure and accessibility. She also considers civic engagement very important, valuing open-mindedness, discourse, and accessible yet reliable information. In her free time, Lauren loves to read, discover new coffee shops, and get to know her friends deeply.
