Maiya Olsen

Maiya is currently attending the University of Texas at Austin and studying Environmental Science and Government. She combines her background in policy research and community outreach with a science foundation to actively drive local climate action. Her experience spans researching climate equity policy with Public Citizen, coordinating local community tree distribution events, collaborating on Austin's 100 Year Water Resource Plan, and more. Fluent in Spanish, Maiya is dedicated to bridging science, government, and community engagement. Post-grad, she plans to go to law school to study Environmental Law.
