As a motivated and passionate student leader, Matilda (Tilly) Schugsta works within her daily life oversee and address the needs within her community, setting her plan to do so in the future along the way. Through initiatives within her school, such as founding an animal rescue and cruelty awareness club, to her actions taken within her community, such as being a founding partner in a mental health access initiative, she aspires to create meaningful and sustainable change. She continues to broaden her knowledge through her advanced high school curriculum and by meeting/working with business/policy leaders in her community. In her recent publication, Invisible Intentions: Addressing Gaps in Animal Cruelty Prevention, she intends to shed light on the state of animal cruelty gaps within federal policy to foster a sense of change.
