This brief will explore the nuances of naturalization (the process of becoming a U.S. citizen), focusing on employment-based temporary residents of Indian origin. In addition, this brief will dive into visa backlogs, country caps, past and present bills to reform this system, and the subsequent effects of this process on Indian immigrants.
