Olivia Fanders

Olivia Fanders is a student at Weehawken High School. She runs the KWN, Model UN, Newspaper, and Social Discourse clubs at WHS and is a co-president of Peer Leadership and the Red Cross club. She is the president of the Student Council and the student representative for the Weehawken Board of Education.

Additionally, she is the team leader for the Digital Action Campaign Team, which is a part of the Hudson County Youth Leadership Council. She works as a youth advisor for the Children's Interagency Coordinating Councils (CIACC) and a Student Ambassador for CollegeBoard BigFuture. She is also a writer with five articles published by the Jersey Journal over the past year. She aspires to work in foreign affairs, and she has worked for numerous non-profit organizations such as The Borgen Project (most recently as a Regional Director), MindLeaps (as an International Development Intern), Minds Beyond Measure (as a Grant Writer), the International Rescue Committee (as a Peer Mentor), and the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization. In May 2023, she was awarded the United Nations Association National Community Service Ambassador award for her 500+ hours of dedication to UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (education).
