PIVOT Writing Intern
Renee Sharapov is a student at the United Nations International School in New York City. A Fellow of the Fall 2025 Institute for Youth in Policy Cohort, she is now a Writing Intern at the YIP Pivot Center. Renee is passionate about financial literacy and political research, and intends to study economics as well as international relations at university.
Renee Sharapov is a student at the United Nations International School in New York. She is extremely passionate about the intersection between economics and international relations, and enjoys exploring this interest by creating researched policy briefs and Model UN background guides. In her free time, Renee serves as the President and Founder of TeenGen Finance, a youth-led organization dedicated to creating financial literacy workshops and accessible resources for teenagers with the aim of enhancing financial skills throughout her community. She hopes that her work will one day inspire change globally and promote equitable access to financial education for all.
Capstone Project
In an increasingly globalized world, tourism can be seen as a driver of economic growth, increasing GDP, creating jobs, promoting foreign investment, and providing exposure to diverse cultures. Uzbekistan, a nation seeking to expand their tourism sector through the improvement of infrastructure, has released their 2030 Plan to build new tourist accommodations and renovate existing sites.
