After graduating the fellowship he joined working in special projects for technology. His prior roles included Special Projects Intern and Special Projects Associate for Technology in the Office of the CEO, Manager of Website Development, VP of Technology, and now his role as Executive Vice President of Technology. Nguyen loved his joint role between OCEO and Tech and hopes to continue supporting as management and overseeing the functions of the department. He is involved in a variety of activities from education and engineering to language learning.
Robbie serves as the 21st Student Representative to the State Board of Education working with the Pennsylvania Department of Education to shape long-term educational policy, and represents 1.7+ million K-12 students across 500 public school districts around the commonwealth. He is passionate about school safety, AI and digital media literacy, and the responsible and ethical integration of technology in education. While he plans to strengthen college and career readiness programs, he also aims to expand support services for English language learners, increase access to educational technology, and create greater opportunities for low-income and rural students.
In the fall of 2026, he was an Automation and Robotics Engineer Intern through the Robotic WorX program, a partnership between Precision Cobotics and Millersville University. He works on developing and implementing automation systems, machine vision, control systems, and trained models.
Nguyen is currently learning about the beautiful culture and language of Russian and Spanish. He plans to explore more languages in college, especially German and Arabic through travel, work, and programs like CBYX-YP and CLS. In 2025, during the summer, he studied abroad learning Russian while living with a host family in Daugavpils Latvia through NSLI-Y, a U.S. Department of State language program. One day he would like to reach the superior levels of Russian through traveling and living in Eastern European and Slavic countries. He hopes to use his language, culture skills, and experience in his future career. Nguyen hopes to go into the intersections of engineering, policy, and the environment.
Robbie is very involved in his school and home community of Lancaster. Outside of school, he tutors two Ukrainian students through ENGin. He serves as Technology Deputy Director at Climate Cardinals, a Forbes 30 under 30 and international climate organization. Nguyen is also a Civics Unplugged Spring 2025 Fellow, 2026 HOBY Central PA Ambassador, and participated in Virtual NSLI-Y in the fall of 2024 studying Russian, and again in the spring of 2026 while being part of the VNSLI-Y alumni program working with Moldovans.
