Suraj Shah

Suraj Shah is the Co-Director of Education Development and Advocacy at the Institute for Youth in Policy. He is a high school student in Orange County, California.

He is a nationally competitive debater, and he is the co-founder of a nonprofit called Debate Discovery Kids (an organization focused on expanding access to debate to underserved communities). At school, he is class president, captain of the Debate Team, captain of the Mock Trial Team, and president of History Club. Additionally, he is a civic leader who has worked for various campaigns, political organizations, and think tanks. In his free time, Suraj enjoys playing basketball, singing, writing about politics and current events, and spending time with his friends.
