Yasmine Santini

Yasmine Santini is a high school student from Los Angeles, California, where she works on youth-centered community leadership, public policy research, and nonprofit initiatives supporting vulnerable populations. She currently serves as the Next Gen Civic Leadership Academy Head at YIP.

Alongside her role at YIP, Yasmine has led community and civic initiatives as the Co-Founder and CEO of Welcoming Hands LA, a student-led initiative supporting refugee women and children, and as the Co-Founder of Pali Strong 2025, a fire-relief effort that has raised more than$43,000 for families recovering from the Palisades wildfires. She also serves as Editor-in-Chief of her school newspaper, where she oversees a team of 30+ writers. Yasmine’s background spans public service, policy research, journalism, and youth leadership. With her role at YIP, she hopes to build a strong community of young leaders who understand civic responsibility and the impact thoughtful policy can have on vulnerable communities. In her spare time, Yasmine enjoys exploring Los Angeles, training with her varsity water polo team, and connecting with people who care about strengthening their communities.
