2025 Spring Fellow
Lucas Ortiz attends JSerra Catholic High School, where he is a student in both the Patrick Ahle Law Magnet and the Humanities Program. He serves as Vice President of Mock Trial within the Law Magnet and is passionate about law, politics, and public service. Lucas is the founder and president of his school’s Young Americans for Freedom chapter and has interned for Congresswoman Young Kim and has contributed to campaigns at both the congressional and state levels. Lucas is especially interested in how legal and political systems shape the common good and hopes to pursue a career in law, politics, or government. Grounded in his Catholic faith, he is committed to using his voice in service of others and the pursuit of a more just and virtuous society.
