Skills
The right applicant has...
- A Technological Aptitude: The expectation is not that an applicant knows how every system and its implementation works on day one, but that they are eager and willing to learn, and can do so effectively. The right applicant is able to read public and internal documentation to get 80% of what they need to know, and can experiment to get the last 20% of knowledge themselves.
- AI Moderation: We value applicants who are aware of the latest AI offerings, but the right applicant understands or can analyze when AI is and is not the right tool for the job.
- Security Awareness: The right applicant makes decisions with data security and integrity in mind, and does not see privacy or security as an afterthought. The Y in YIP is youth, and YIP takes the protection of data for all users but especially young adults seriously.
- Systems Thinking: The right applicant should be able to make both strategic and operational decisions with a "systems thinking" mindset, understanding how different processes work together to provide the best experience. At YIP, tech systems should exist internally to make impact easier and externally to maximize the reach of our work.
