PIVOT Center
The PIVOT Center at the Institute for Youth in Policy is seeking motivated interns to support its policy, media, operations, and civic leadership initiatives. The PIVOT Center is a youth-led hub for cross-border policy reform. The Center equips young people—across political systems, identities, and ideologies—with the skills to research, negotiate, publish, and influence real policy. Applicants will be considered for multiple focus areas based on their interests and strengths. Below are the role tracks and skills we’re looking for.

Operations Intern
- Support the Senior Vice President and Editor-in-Chief with managing workflows
- Facilitate the publication pipeline and interdepartmental communication
- Assist with event coordination, scheduling, and team operations
Next Gen Civic Leadership Academy (NGCLA) Intern
- Assist the NGCLA Head with event logistics and programming
- Provide support during academy events and workshops
- Help manage communications and participant coordination
Editor/Writer
- Edit op-eds, policy memos, and journal submissions under the Editor-in-Chief
- Provide feedback to contributors to ensure clarity and quality
- Prepare pieces for publication across YIP platforms
Video Editor
- Work with the Director of Multimedia to edit short-form and podcast-style content
- Prepare videos for publication across digital platforms
Content Creator
- Produce at least one video per week (short-form or long-form)
- Collaborate on storytelling and outreach strategies
