Naomi McKenna is a high school student at Atholton High School in Columbia, Maryland, who will graduate in 2024.
Her passions include criminal justice reform policy, environmental sustainability, and psychology. In her spare time, Naomi loves being outside, whether it’s rock climbing, running, or hiking, as well as creating music and reading. She plans to continue on to law school after attending university.

Over half of all inmates within prisons and jails in the United States are parents to minors, leaving an estimated 2.7 million children alone in the most formative years of their lives. That is 1 in every 28 children – essentially one student out of every class at a school.
