Rachel Ledoux

Rachel Ledoux is a student at Simmons University studying political science and economics with a focus on public policy. Originally from Vermont, she serves as an Education Development and Advocacy Intern at the Institute for Youth in Policy and is passionate about civic engagement, education policy, and civil rights advocacy.

Rachel is currently studying political science and economics at Simmons University on an accelerated public policy graduate track. She first joined YIP as a Fellow in Summer 2025, where she received the 'Outstanding Capstone' award for a policy brief reviewing the economic state of early childhood education. Rachel is excited to now be serving as an Education Development and Advocacy Intern with the Institute, focusing on innovative communications initiatives.

Outside of her work with YIP, Rachel has contributed to various programs intended to promote social justice and develop effective educational materials. Currently, she is serving as a Youth Organizing Fellow with Americans United, advocating for a separation of church and state in U.S. public schools. She has also partnered with Inclusive America, Outright Vermont, Search for Common Ground, the Gilder Lehrman Institute, and the Public Interest Law Association.

As an intern with the Institute for Youth in Policy, Rachel will continue her work shaping meaningful change in the education policy sphere. If you are interested in collaborating on any projects, please feel free to reach out!
