Democratizing Storytelling: Advancing Digital Publishing Equity in Education

This policy brief looks into the increasing split in digital publishing access throughout public education and resources. Despite the fact that digital reading has increased significantly among youth, low-income districts lack the foundation to provide digital books and audiobooks because of high licensing costs. The proposal advocates for digital publishing literacy in elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as funding fair access to online information through federal and state programs.
