Interns who could edit raw footage videos into podcast episodes, preferably looking for individuals who are familiar with editing software and can edit intro/outro portions of content. Also, it is preferred if individuals have experience creating short form content such as reels or TikToks (45-90 secs), adding captions, sound effects, cropping videos or enhancing the resolution.

The PIVOT Center is a youth-led hub for cross-border policy reform. Civic Growth Intern

Civic Growth Interns at YIP contribute to the Institute's mission to foster cross-sector civic change among the youth population. The Center for Civic Growth serves as the hub for civic impact at the Institute, connecting current staff and fellows to the real world. Civic Growth Interns will be assigned to support alumni relations efforts, partnerships, and special projects.

Education Intern

Interns in the Education Department work collaboratively to design and implement content that challenges the status quo of civics education, while also backing that content with thorough, quantitative and qualitative research. Interns will have the option of joining one of five teams: Content, Communications, Strategy (housed within our Development & Advocacy sub-department), Research, or Data Analytics (housed within our Research & Analytics sub-department).

Policy Analyst Intern

Policy Analyst Interns contribute to a wide range of projects that support the research, publication, outreach, and communications work of the Policy Department. Interns may be assigned to one or more of the following focus areas: editing journal submissions, writing or editing policy briefs, editing Op-Eds for the YIP website, or conducting outreach to academic and public audiences. The work for this position may include long-form editing, external outreach, research, or media polishing, depending on the needs of the department and the intern’s strengths.

Hubs Leader

About Learning Hubs Learning Hubs are project-based, community initiatives led by students and supported by the PIVOT Center and YIP generally. Each hub is built around a clearly defined issue within the specific community. The goal is not to create a general club, but to develop a focused project that actively addresses a critical community issue over time. Each Hub Leader, and their team, is responsible for identifying a problem, building a small team, and creating impact. This can include organizing initiatives, engaging with stakeholders, developing advocacy efforts, and building partnerships within the community to address challenges. Hubs are expected to move beyond discussion and into consistent action quickly, with clear progress, outputs, and documentation. The PIVOT Center supports this work through 1-1 mentorship, resources (guides and workshops), accountability systems, and guidance on project development.
