Zachary Billot

Zachary Billot is a Junior at the University of Nevada Las Vegas majoring in Political Science with minors in Public Policy and Solar/Renewable Energy Policy. He serves as a public policy researcher and contributor to the Data Hub at Brookings Mountain West and the Lincy Institute where he is published in timely deliverables that inform legislative action for the Mountain West.

In addition, he serves as a government appointed committee member of the Clark County Juvenile Justice Services Citizen Advisory Committee. HIs commitment to at-risk youth extends to his work as a Legislative Committee member of Nevada Court Appointed Special Advocates, dedicated to pursuing permanency for foster youth. He is most interested in environmental work as of late, convening UNLV Climate Action Plan and serving as the undergraduate rep for the University’s Sustainability Taskforce. His passion for environmental policy extends into his interest in international relations, in which he hopes to earn a PhD and become a researcher at a foreign policy think tank. In his free time, Zach loves to hike, play violin, rock out to Beethoven in the car, thrift, and read.
